You are invited to come see the mine!
We open up the mine 5 weekends per year for digging!
2026 Open Dig Dates
May 22nd, 23rd & 24th - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day
June 26th, 27th & 28th - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day
July 10th, 11th, 12th - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day
August 21st, 22nd & 23rd - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day
October 9th, 10th & 11th - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day
There will be signs and flagging leading you up the mine road to the site.
You can bring any tools you want to use, gloves, buckets, knee pads, spray bottle, rock hammer, chisels, etc... Rock is plentiful! Plenty of parking. No hiking required!
No entry fee- Rock is $1.50 per lb.
